About Me
I’m Catherine, a counsellor, creative, and lifelong learner. Outside the therapy room, I’m usually taking photos, painting, drawing, sewing, writing, or spending time with family and friends. I’m also happily outnumbered by my four cats.
My path into counselling began long before I started formal training eight years ago. I had to grow up quickly, and life handed me more than a few lemons. I learned that sometimes lemonade isn’t enough, sometimes you have to pull out the whole recipe book and make everything under “lemons” until there are none left. Those experiences shaped me, taught me resilience, and gave me a deep understanding of what it means to struggle, adapt, and grow.
I’m now in my ninth year of study, working at Level 5, and I bring all of that learning, personal and professional, into my work.

Everyone deserves a gentle hour
The way I work
I offer a warm, steady space where you can slow down and be fully yourself. My work is rooted in a Person‑Centred approach, with our relationship at the heart of the process. We move at your pace, following what feels important, and making sense of things together.
Alongside this, I use integrative skills and tools from theories I’ve studied in depth and feel confident drawing from, while being clear that I’m not formally qualified in those modalities. This keeps the work flexible and responsive to you.
My approach is shaped by both professional training and lived experience, giving me a deep respect for the courage it takes to show up. Therapy with me is a collaborative space to explore, reflect, and find your way forward, without having to hold everything alone.
Who I Work With
& What Therapy Can Help With
I work with people navigating the everyday pressures, patterns, and emotional challenges that can build up over time. I have experience supporting clients from age 15 through to 60+, each bringing their own story, pace, and needs.
Below are some of the experiences I’ve worked with, to name a few:
- feeling lost, low, or emotionally weighed down
- navigating change, uncertainty, or life transitions
- repeating old patterns that no longer serve you
- relationship difficulties or communication struggles
- the impact of past experiences
- a quiet sense that something needs attention, even if you’re not sure what
- work‑related stress
- family or relational stress
- feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin
You don’t need a clear reason to come, just a sense that you’d like things to feel different.
Together, we create a therapeutic relationship where you can explore what’s happening in your life without having to hold it all alone.
